学习内容：
此科系关系到电力系统的方面，如发电，输电，配电，电力系统保护，电能，负载管理，包括管理事务和能量组件，如电路断路器，变压器控制设备等领域。
大学生将接受3年共同课程时，他们可以在最后一年选择专注于电源操纵、仪表解读及自动化、工业电源能量、电源系统与发动决定的程序。此课程将会为大学生们在了解理论上建立坚固的基础，让大学生们在面对电机工程领域的问题上能够进行分析和鉴定，并制定和选择适当的解决方案。
选修课内容：
电机工程（电源操纵、仪表解读及自动化）主要是联系到生产及操纵仪器的方法。此科系综合了电源操纵工程、仪表解读工程及
自动化工程三个领域，构成了分析、控制及设计系统和机器人，初步的用品出售系统及自动化。通过此科系，学生不仅学习有关工程技术上的知识，也被灌输关于电机工程学生所应具备的技能如软硬技能等以迎合市场上的要求。
电机工程（工业电力）注重于电源的产生、传输、转送、能量应用及管理。此科系也着重于电子零件的认识例如开，管理者和其他。
除了基本课程，学生也可修读静力学、电子磁场的原理、能源转送学、高电压工程以及能源系统分析与防范。
电源系统及发动的运用牵涉不同的科技元素，其中包括类比（Analogue）或数码系、能源转换、传感器、各种电气引擎和电脑程序。此科系的存在是为了要栽培出一批拥有技术性知识和对于电源系统及发动有着高度技巧的毕业生。
在第四学年，学生必需选择三科主修学科的其中一科。 那三个主修学科分别是:
1. 电源操纵、仪表解读及自动化（Control, Instrumentation & Automation）
2. 工业电力（Industrial Power）
3. 电源系统及发动（Power Electronic & Drives）
